The New Colossus

We are facing a new frontier. It isn’t the physical one our ancestors faced, when they navigated an unknown geography—either by choice, or by force. Ours is a psychological frontier, and a spiritual one. 

The intrepid pioneers of the twenty-first century won’t be fording literal rivers, or attempting to prevent dysentery. They’ll be consumed with shedding belief systems that stem from an inheritance of hatred, fear and suffering--and subsequently, creating new modes of civilization, based on more evolved perspectives. 

In doing this, at first they will be opening themselves up to criticism, and may be ridiculed. Still, they will choose to open their hearts and share the deep, personal truths of their spirits, again and again...Over time, and with regular practice, these vulnerable, loving, and honest actions/words will begin to move humanity towards the dawning of a time lit by love for all, and complete spiritual expansion.

These nu-humans will know that listening is just as important as speaking. They will embody enlightenment through every action, and each interaction. Their lives will be deliberate, and (almost) relentlessly joyful. As the highest vibration of human potential on this planet, they will be truly and fully conscious.

Up ahead, we can see them, rowing their boats towards our shores. We can make out the faint outline of their faces, and as they get closer, they come more and more into focus.
